About the Workshop:
In a small and personal setting, participants will learn the intaglio technique of Drypoint Etching and produce a small print from their hand scribed plates. Demonstrations on how to inscribe the plate, then inking and wiping to print will be shown. Designs will be scratched into the surface of the plexiglass plate utilizing methods of hatching, cross hatching and contour line hatching to produce varied values. Participants will then ink up and wipe their own plates to then print on an etching press.

Optional additional method of adding watercolor to your finished print will be demonstrated.

All supplies and light refreshments included.

Absoltuely no artistic experience is necessary.
